1. David has been fighting a cold for the past week, and this morning I woke up with it full on. I’m laying in bed right now trying to keep myself awake a little longer so i can still sleep tonight.
2. We finally got snow!! It is so exciting… It makes it feel so much more christmasy!
3. We’ve been doing lots of christmas shopping this week. Even though the malls are chaotic I really do love it.

Last night we took a walk down memory lane. When David and I started dating it was christmas time and he was working at Art Knapps tieing christmas trees on cars. So every year since then we go back to visit Art Knapps at christmas time, smell the christmas trees, drink complimentary apple cider, and look through all the decorations. When I got in the car last night had Avett Brothers playing and a pack of cinnamon gum, that may sound rather random but both those things remind us SO much of our first christmas together which was one of the most magical times of our lives. This year we decided we that every year on our little outing we would get a decoration! The little reindeer was our choice this year! We ended of the night with wine, cheese, and Love Actually.
Yesterday I went to trader joe’s and target with my friend Gillian! For all you americans you don’t know how good you have it. These stores are the greatest! I cross the border quite often to head down there for groceries.. I found these $1 juice glasses at target that I LOVE! sooo cute. (they have so many good stocking stuffers in their $1 section right now!) Seriously, I love going to traders joes, everyone is so friendy and nice and offers you cookies! This weekend was good! Started off Christmasy with some gingerbread houses (photos to come), some filming for a christmas video, and a christmas party! I just love Christmas parties, don’t you? Apart from the decorations, gift-giving and food, it’s my favourite part of this time of year. It’s just an excuse to get all dressed up and make an effort so you can celebrate with your family and friends, or even your work colleagues if it’s an office party. I know a lot of other people who feel the same way, especially the younger ones amongst us who see it as an opportunity to use their scannable fake id so they can join in on the drinking games and everything else that they’re not yet legally old enough to do. I mean, can you blame them? This time of year is all about celebration and it definitely made my weekend a whole lot better because afterwards, we even got some time in to just hang out and relax! These photos are from yesterday afternoon. After church we grabbed a quick (and oh so healthy) lunch at A&W (sooo yummy)! I always regret fast food about 20 minutes after i finish when it feels like there is a huge rock sitting inside my stomache…. Then we made a stop at the pet store to grab Sid some bones to keep him occupied when we has to hold down the fort in the evenings.
Explaination to Sid’s Cone: Last Saturday night David and I went out for dinner and when we came home we grabbed Sid from the backyard and as he very excitedly came running through the back door he let out a really loud bark, a couple minutes later I noticed drops of blood all over the family room, I looked at sid’s leg and it was completely split open. As soon as I noticed I was practically in the fetal position yelling for David (I do NOT do well with blood) We rushed him to the 24 hour vet and they said he would need spend the night there to be put under, and get stitched up. I never thought I could be so attached to a dog, but when the vet told me he had to stay the night I started balling right there, I felt so bad leaving my scared little puppy all alone! But, He of course was fine, and is all stitched up now!! After playng detective we figured out that there was a garbage bag at the back door with a corner of broken glass sitcking through that cut him when he came running inside.
