Thank you for visiting! I have currently taken a step back from social media and blogging. But I did want to leave our blog posts about Goldie up here on the site, all other posts have been archived for now. Love Bethany

Oats & Apples

The other night I made a Vegan/Gluten Free Apple Crumble (subbing the flour for brown rice flour, and the butter for earth balance) for a family dinner. I was pretttaayy yummy. Lately we have been trying to eat more Vegan, and David is gluten free. Before I always found it impossible to cook for Vegan friends but since being more aware about our food, where it comes from/how its treated, It’s easy to stay away from animal products. We’ve still been having cheese every now and then, and cream in our coffee. (Still trying to find a good milk sub) But there are a lot of really great organic/vegan foods out there. Suggestions?

there are some great coconut milk creamers for your coffee, as well as a mimicreme brand almond/cashew creamer! for milk to use in recipes/cereal, i like unsweetened almond milk, or the almond coconut blend by almond breeze 🙂 hope this helps!

Lian, Madame: the problem is I have a nut allergy. Apparently Coconut is not a nut so I think I may try coconut milk. But almond milk is a no go 🙁

Sarah: ooo! No i haven't I always see it and think it looks so cute, I'm glad you told me I'll definitely check it out.

Hi Bethany! I love your blog and treasures and travels.
I am starting my 3 days of fruits and veggies tomorrow!!! (Hoping to detox a little and maybe start my own vegetarian life).
One question: did you eat grains on those days? (rice, bread, pasta, chickpeas…)???? And if you can post about your vegetarian odyssey, it would be GREAT!!!!!
Thanks for lots of inspiration with your blog and pics

    Laura,
For our "Cleanse" we did strictly fruits and veggies, no grains or seeds. Definitely not something realistic for our everyday, but we felt really good and "clean" after those days, it's also made it easier to cut certain things out of our diet after going so extreme for those few days.

i really enjoy almond milk, i am not a coffee drinker so I am not sure if it would taste good in it, but defiantly worth a shot.
