I love this time of year! It is starting to feel like summer, the sun is out (sometimes) the flowers are blooming everywhere, and this is when we start to spend every weekend at the beach. I love to get outside during the warm months as much as possible, especially now that I have a toddler it is so much easier to fill our days when we can spend them outside. I am often throwing on our shorts, jackets (because lets be real, it’s still Canada), backpacks, and all other sun accessories to head down to the beach. I have recently fallen in love with my Teva sandals for outings like this, they are probably the most comfortable sandal and I love this simple black style for everyday because it always matches my wardrobe of basics. Since becoming a mama when I find products that are practical and still look trendy I’m all about it! Check out my other favourite Teva picks for Mother’s Day over here.
21 Weeks and finally my bump is starting to look like a bump (most of the time)! We are spending the week in Arizona with my family so I’ve finally had to chance to break out the summer dresses. Last week I popped by the Citizen Grace Pop Up Shop in Vancouver and left with this beautiful slip dress and yellow hat. I’m a major sucker for felt hats so this Brixton hat won me over pretty easily. You can shop Citizen Grace online and follow their Instagram to stay updated about Pop Ups.

We found out this week that we are having another baby girl! I am so excited for Poppy to have a little sister to grow up with. I came from a family of two girls and I’m really happy that Poppy will have one so close in age. The entire pregnancy I was convinced that it was a boy, I bought blue clothes and picked a boy name, but then after watching the ultrasound I was pretty confident that I was looking at a girl (here they don’t tell you at the ultrasound, you have to wait for results a few days later). So now were trying to agree on a name we both like, and I’m excited to make up another little girly nursery. Can’t wait to meet her this August!
I’ve been trying to get more creative with activities for Poppy to do at home. We’ve tried out colouring and painting but getting the pencil or brush on the paper is slightly difficult… I pulled out the playdoh for her this week, and the containers ended up being much more fun than the playdoh itself. What sort of fun things have you done with a 1 year old at home?
This Stokke Tripp Trapp is a new addition to our kitchen, and I love it! Such a good looking and practical high chair. Poppy loves it too, she feels so special being right up at the table with us and finds it so funny stomping her feet the whole time on the feet rest.
